Hi, I’m Sonia! I deeply appreciate that you are here and want to know more about me!
I was born and raised in Liguria, on the Italian Riviera. Creativity has always run in the family, my grandpa enjoyed painting and my dad loved photography. I remember observing him with his Olympus film camera, fascinated by how he immortalized the nature and the people he so loved. Every photo was an emotion, though my dearest one was the day we bought my first dslr camera together. I must confess that after he passed away, years went by before I started shooting consistently again.
Thanks to my recipe blog though I found the joy of photographing again. It is my small corner of the world where I share tasty and comforting allergy-friendly recipes. Because food is about happiness and sharing and I want as many people as possible to enjoy it.
As I didn’t want it to be only a joy for the palate, but for the eye too, I started my journey into food photography and styling learning. This has allowed me to enhance dishes that may not be too captivating at times, as it happens with gluten free ones. In my photos – just like in life – food is always the main charachter, which is why I often prefer a more minimal approach.
I love the opportunity to work with food and beverage businesses and brands to infuse this same creative approach into capturing images. If you’re interested in working together or more information, please contact me at hello@soniabozzo.com.
When I don’t shoot, I enjoy long walks in the nature and I am always experimenting in the kitchen. And from time to time I indulge into my two favourite comfort foods: bakery brioche croissants and bitter dark chocolate. Of course not together, uh. Ok yes, together.
